What is CBD?
Each one of us are born with an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in our bodies which regulates every metabolic process in the body, such as pain sensation, immunity, stress management, temperature regulation, sleep, and more.
Just like muscles need protein to become stronger, your Endocannabinoid System also needs nutrients (called cannabinoids) to function properly to reduce pain, inflammation, anxieties, or other maladies in the body. That's where Cannabidiol (or CBD) comes in - a very healthy nutrient.
According to many researchers, CBD may be the single most important cannabinoid ever discovered.
THC vs CBD
THC (Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive portion of cannabis and is commonly found in marijuana in higher amounts and is very low (if any) in the hemp plant.
CBD is “a cannabinoid devoid of psychoactive effect.” In other words, you can't get "high" from CBD! After THC (Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is by far the most studied natural cannabinoid, and it is gaining in popularity faster than THC because of its healthy properties without the drug side attached to it.
Why Hemp (NOT Marijuana)?
Although hemp and marijuana are both cannabis, they have distinctive biochemical compositions and uses. Marijuana is very high in THC and much lower in CBD, while Hemp is the opposite, especially industrial hemp, where CBD is very high and THC is so low that you’re not worried about getting a "high" from it.
In fact, industrial hemp has over 25,000 different applications and is one of the healthiest plants on the planet. You find hemp protein in many of the top rated health food stores, which can provide 15g of protein per scoop. You can find hemp seeds in stores like Costco, which provide extraordinary amounts of healthy omega oils. There are also hemp tinctures found nationwide that help your body get other essential nutrients it needs to function properly.
Available in ALL 50 States?
On February 7, 2014, the U.S. government signed the Agricultural Act of 2014 that allowed for the Farm Bill Act to take effect. The Farm Bill allows "Industrial Hemp" to be grown, researched, marketed and sold throughout the whole United States. Section 7606 defines industrial hemp as Cannabis plants containing 0.3% or less THC by weight, keeping the drug effect of THC off the table and the hemp safe for consumption.
Why "The Whole Hemp Plant" is So Important.
This might surprise you, but in the industrial market, buying CBD by itself as an extract is several times less expensive than buying CBD still intact with the rest of the healthy phytocannabinoids inside (such as CBN, CBG, CBD-A, CBD-V, Terpenes, and so much more). As the CBD market develops, people are learning that the whole hemp plant (also called "Full-Spectrum CBD") is probably 10 times more effective and healthy than CBD by itself (called "CBD Isolate"). Full Spectrum CBD is the way nature intended it to be. The different phytocannabinoids inside the hemp plant actually have a synergistic relationship called the "entourage effect" that gives you more nutrients in the end than just CBD by itself as an extract.
CBD and The Endocannabinoid System
According to Pubmed, CBD helps regulate the endocannabinoid system (ECS). There are two types of cannabinoid receptors found throughout the body (CB1 and CB2), but they are most abundant in the brain and immune system respectively. While clinical studies are pending, the ECS is being tested and evaluated for its role in pain managment, anti-inflammatory effects, anti-anxiety, memory, appetite suppression, movement disorders including seizures, and ADHD to name a few. In summary, while newly studied, the ECS is responsible for affects throughout the entire body including sleep and relaxation, inflammatory responses and cognitive function.
Did the U.S. Government Really Patent Cannabis?
Yes. The patent (US6630507) is titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” and was awarded to the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in October 2003 and covers the use of cannabinoids for treating a wide range of diseases.
The patent claims rights on the use of cannabinoids for creating homeostasis in the body and treating neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and stroke, and diseases caused by oxidative stress, such as heart attack, Crohn’s disease, diabetes, and arthritis.
The patent highlights CBD saying "Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol, are particularly advantageous."
Purzorb Technology
Pur7 is the Highest and Fastest absorbing full-spectrum CBD in the market because of a proprietary process called Purzorb™. Since CBD is an oil, the body can only break down and assimilate about 6% of CBD naturally. That means most of the CBD you normally ingest, gets wasted and discarded by the body, unused. Purzorb™ changes CBD into a water-soluble nutrient the exact same way your liver does it, so when you drink Pur7, your body accepts the CBD as if it has already been processed by the body. Purzorb™ does this amazingly without changing the form or structure of the CBD itself. At a small 22 nanometers and coated by a water layer, the body accepts Pur7 CBD as a water soluble nutrient, like vitamin C, and gives you 14-20 TIMES better “bioavailable” absorption!
The POWER of Complete Water Solubility!
The educated CBD consumer understands that the best CBD on the market needs to be water soluble to be super effective. Not only can you get 85%+ bio-absorption from a truly water soluble CBD, but it gets assimilated into the body within minutes rather than hours. This allows you to feel the effect of CBD quickly when you want or need it the most. There are basically 3 popular methods to making CBD water soluble. Liposomes is the first method, but liposomes are extremely unstable and fall apart in stomach acids as well as the 98.6F temperatures of the human body. Anything above 80F will make a liposome unstable, including inside a hot car, mailbox, or purse. Next, nano particles is a way of crushing the CBD so small that it appears water soluble, but the body still recognizes the CBD as an oil. Third is Purzorb™ technology which is able to withstand very high temperatures and stomach acids and still retains an 85%+ absorption because of its stable water-soluble coating.
